The Andover Festival of Motoring is roaring into Town

Andover Town Centre will once again be awash with chrome, steel and alloy wheels on Sunday 24th September as the popular Festival of Motoring returns to rev up the atmosphere on the High Street.

Organised by the Andover Town Centre Partnership, Sheryl Scott-Clarke and Hampshire Hot Rides and supported by the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme, this free family event is now in its third year and is looking to be bigger and better than ever before.

Town Centre Manager Gemma Thompson comments “we’ve had a great response from local motoring enthusiasts and have an impressive line up of over 100 classic, sports, modified and vintage vehicles booked to line the High Street and wow the crowds. There will be fun for all the family with children’s entertainment, face painting and motoring related craft activities from The Art Room on offer.”

Competition to be crowned a category winner or overall Best in Show will be fierce, with the Worshipful Mayor, Councillor Carl Borg-Neal having the difficult task of judging the entrants. The winner of Best in Show will be presented with the 2017 Trophy and will receive a Porsche Cayman Experience donated by Thruxton Racing.

The Festival takes place from 10am to 3pm and is a free event with any donations received going to support the Andover Rotary Club.
