It helps people access their rights as members of the community. The services are free and anyone can ask for an advocate. We provide independent advocacy for adults with a learning disability. Advocates will: Listen to you; Support you to speak up; Support you to make your own choices and decisions; Support you to access your rights as a member of the local community; Advocacy is about helping you to speak up for yourself as much as possible. Anyone can ask for an advocate. You don't have to fill out a form. There are 2 local Self Advocacy groups happening within Fareham and Gosport where they discuss issues that are important to them to enable the Hampshire partnership board to set their agenda for the year ahead to help people with learning disabilities: The Saturday Drop In meets monthly on the 2nd Saturday between10am and 12.30pm (If you would like to join this group please call 01329 232236).The SAY Group is a group for young people within Fareham and Gosport to have their say about important issues to them.
