Course outcomes:

Suicide is a leading cause of death of young people in the UK.  PAPYRUS - the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide is delivering their two day skills building workshop for informal educators. teachers and community workers.

As an ASIST trained first aid intervention care-giver you will be able to:

  • Identify people who have thoughts of suicide
  • Understand how your beliefs & attitudes can affect suicide interventions
  • Seek a shared understanding of the reasons for thoughts of suicide & the reasons for living
  • Review current risk & develop a plan to increasesafety from suicidal behaviour for an agreed amount of time

Attendance at both days is essential
